To be fair in all this, it's not Tony Blair's fault. He's just attended a ceremony in private and in his own time to convert, much as someone might get confirmed in the Church of England.
But the media have jumped on it, and it for me shows the shallowness of media reporting in general.
Personally I would prefer all the news right now to be focused on the fact that the government wants us all to hand over personal data, DNA samples, retina scans etc. in the near future and store it in one convenient location. Where is the proper reporting? Looking at the feasibility of all this and whether in light of the current data security breaches whether it is sensible?
Oh no, it's easier for some lazy half-arsed non-story about someone's personal beliefs.
27 years old with a fledging family. I moan often and get on my soap box to write angry letters to people in authority. If you've never met me, I'll be surprised if you want to read this blog.

ReplyDeleteIn other news, the Lakota Sioux have legally renounced all treaties and ties with the USA and have formed their OWN COUNTRY.
I can see how that's a footnote to the obviously superior news about a has-been's flip-flopping between faiths.
